Vidya Patel and Shammi Pithia perform in an extraordinary conversation between Kathak dance and contemporary music, at the Sadler's Wells take over of the National Theatre's River Stage Festival 2018.
After their involvement in the electric performance About the Elephant (still touring), Kathak artist Vidya Patel and composer Shammi Pithia have joined forces in their newest collaboration, Converse.
In a journey of solos and duets, the young artists create a mesmerising atmosphere of harmony and frisson as the inherited traditions and emerging modernity of their respective art-forms combine.
This is a chance to experience creative cohesion at it’s finest, at London’s biggest free outdoor festival!
