Part of Sonia Sabri Company’s 10 year anniversary celebrations
Sonia Sabri Company continues its 10-year anniversary celebrations with Kaavish (meaning ‘to achieve one’s desires through action’).
The first part of Kaavish traces Sonia’s artistic journey, with live performances linked by previously unseen archive recordings and a voiceover by Sonia giving her personal insight into the work.
The second half looks forward to the next stages of Sonia’s creative journey, with a new specially commissioned work by Sampad and Milapfest, with ravishing Bharatanatyam dancer Ash Mukerjee, accompanied by an ensemble of musicians, including tabla maestro, Sarvar Sabri and live Indian rock music.
