Meet choreographers and film makers in Birmingham to form partnerships for Big Dance Shorts India.
Big Dance, Channel 4 and the British Council have announced a new programme: Big Dance Shorts India as part of UK/India 2017.
The exciting and high-profile platform for UK and Indian filmmakers and choreographers has been commissioned by Big Dance, Channel 4 and British Council and is supported by People Dancing and the Mayor of London.
Four outstanding 3-4 minute dance-film ideas will be commissioned for Channel 4’s Random Acts strand as part of UK/IN led by the British Council and the Indian High Commission. Each film will be inspired by dance and have at its heart an element of collaboration between the UK and India.
The selected films will be shown online and may be chosen to be broadcast as part of Channel 4’s Random Acts strand. The films will also be shown via social media platforms by Big Dance, the British Council, People Dancing and the Greater London Authority.
The deadline for proposals is 5pm, WEDNESDAY 3 MAY.
In relation to this, Big Dance, Channel 4 and the British Council, in partnership with Sampad, are delighted to host a networking evening in Birmingham to facilitate partnerships for Big Dance Shorts India.
If you’re thinking of applying, have questions about the programme or are interested in meeting potential partners, join us at mac Birmingham!
This event is free to attend, but places are limited and must be booked in advance.
