About the Elephant

We saw another sell out show for the final tour date of About the Elephant at DanceCity in Newcastle.
Despite the performance being a last chance to see live on stage, with amazing support from The Space,
we live streamed the performance on Facebook and Twitter to over 41,000 people.

Chai & Chat

In October we hosted our first ever Chai and Chat at Zindiya in Moseley with inspirational writer and ambassador for women Abda Khan.
A fantastic group of women attended and shared some of their incredible thoughts and creative ideas. Keep an eye out for Spring 2019’s Chai and Chat.

This Sampad classic was revived in October with Soumik Datta at The Dome music hall at The University of Birmingham.
We were delighted to see a full audience enjoying the phenomenal musical talent of Soumik and his percussionist Ayoze de Alejandro Lopez.

Sampad were privileged to host Kamala Devam Company’s premier of ‘Ankusha and Other Mysteries’.

Evening Conversations

Sampad welcomed the wonderful Sudha Bhuchar to Birmingham in November, where she shared her work in progress ‘Evening Conversations’.
