A fun, informative and supportive workshop designed to support women aged 16+ who are planning to enter our My City My Home creative writing competition. It will also discuss the different types of writing that are eligible for the competition.

Join our online ZOOM workshop and learn tips and tricks for writing fiction and poetry from award-winning writers Abda Khan (author of hit novels Stained and Razia, and winner of the Noor Inayat Khan Muslim Woman of the Year Award 2019) and Wersha Bharadwa (author of ‘The Birmingham Collection’ and award-nominated journalist with features published in The Guardian, The Independent, and others. She was the first British Indian staff writer for Cosmopolitan magazine UK)

My City My Home, is also part of Sampad’s Sakshi (meaning Witness in Hindi) strand launched in 2018. Running until 2022 Sakshi will deliver a series of projects which focus on girls and women, to involve them in creative projects and to get their voices heard through the arts.
