Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty is a celebrated vocal artiste of Hindustani (North Indian) Classical Music, based in Kolkata, India. His career spans over 60 years and he has won national and international acclaim for his performances.

His unique music institution Shrutinandan uses distinctive teaching methods to inspire and encourage the next generation of musicians.

Sur-nandan now has the great privilege of hosting him in Birmingham and invite you to join them for a very special evening, where he will share his knowledge and demonstrate his skills.

This event offers a unique, interactive experience with a master of the genre and would be of great interest and benefit to music lovers and practitioners of North Indian classical music. All aspects of this genre will be covered including vocal, instrumental and tabla. Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty will be accompanied by Soumen Sarkar on Tabla and Gourab Chatterjee on harmonium.
