A cultural show in Bengali based on different literary masterpieces of Rabindranath Tagore, involving songs, dances, enacting stories and a short play (performed by children). The show takes place at mac birmingham and is a fundraiser for Vidyapith, a charitable trust that helps educational institutions in West Bengal, India.
Performances (in order of staging):
Hymn: Sanchita Pal (10 minutes)
Dance: Atreyee Bhattacharya (15 minutes)
Songs: Sumitra Ghosh (25 minutes)
Interval: (20 minutes)
Children’s play: Chithi (based on Dakghar), Directed by Indrajit Ray, supported by Sanchita Pal and Sumitra Ghosh (Songs) and Atreyee Bhattacharya (Dances) (40 minutes)
Conclusion: (10 minutes)
