Centre for Advanced Training Open Day

Calling all young dance enthusiasts aged 11 to 16, and up to 23 for D/deaf or disabled individuals. You’re invited to our Centre for Advanced Training Open Day in Birmingham.

Join us at our Birmingham studios for an opportunity to learn more about our West Midlands contemporary and Yuva Gati strand.

Our open day gives you a taste of our current Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) programme. You’ll get to see some of our current students in action during their classes. Aftwards those of you attending the open day can immerse yourself in a hands-on practical workshop, finishing with an interactive Q&A session.

Don’t miss out! This is your chance to get an insight and explore, create, and connect with our West Midlands CAT team alongside others who love to dance.

FABRIC’s Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) is funded by the Department of Education Music and Dance Scheme designed to assist those interested in dance practices regardless of their personal circumstance, and share world-class specialist training as part of a broad and balanced education.

Applications to join the West Midlands contemporary strand are open to young people aged 11 to 16 and up to 23 for D/deaf or disabled individuals from the West Midlands.

Yuva Gati (‘Youth Movement’) is a dance training programme for dance styles from South Asian heritage. Yuva Gati is delivered by FABRIC in partnership with Sampad Arts and Heritage.

Applications to join Yuva Gati are open to all young people aged 11 to 16 and up to 23 for D/deaf or disabled individuals from across the UK. All levels of experience within South Asian dance practices are invited to apply.
