Our Partnerships
Sampad’s strength lies in the partnerships we foster and nurture. We collaborate with a wide range of organisations, including arts institutions, businesses, local councils, universities, schools, sports venues, community centres, healthcare providers and third-sector organisations on local, national, and international levels.
These vital partnerships enable Sampad to connect people and communities with South Asian and British Asian Arts and Heritage in meaningful ways. Our collaborative efforts help us achieve our mission by:
Breaking down barriers: We work tirelessly to make South Asian arts more accessible and inclusive, expanding and diversifying audiences through our engaging events and comprehensive educational programme. By reaching new audiences and ensuring art is accessible to everyone, we create more opportunities for cultural exchange and shared experiences.
Raising critical issues: We use the power of South Asian arts to shine a light on the challenges faced by diverse communities, especially in areas of mental health and wellbeing. Through our projects, we promote open dialogue and advocate for positive change, supporting the well-being of our participants and audience members.
Amplifying unheard voices: We are committed to elevating the voices of South Asian artists, ensuring they are heard and recognised. By providing training, bursaries and professional support, we contribute to a thriving and diverse arts sector. Our aim is to cultivate the next generation of cultural leaders by equipping them with the skills and resources they need to succeed.
Our current collaborations include partnerships with organisations such as Bedlam Arts and Mental Health Festival, Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, Birmingham LGBT+ Centre, B:Music, Midlands Arts Centre, The Heath Bookshop, The University of Birmingham, Birmingham Mind, Ghulab Ahram, Handsworth Library and OPUS. These partnerships are integral to our ongoing success, allowing us to create impactful and transformative experiences.
Sampad is always open to forming new partnerships, whether for one-off events, large-scale festivals, or community-based wellbeing workshops. We welcome new ideas and proposals, and we’re excited to engage with individuals and organisations who share our passion for cultural innovation. If you have a vision for collaboration or an idea that aligns with our work, please reach out. We are eager to explore possibilities and bring fresh perspectives into our growing network.
