Artist and Professional Development

Sampad is dedicated to artist and professional development, serving as vital support for emerging and established talent in music, theatre, dance, visual arts and literature.

Sampad’s commitment extends beyond showcasing work; we actively support professional development for all artists and offer mentorship and work experience opportunities for those taking their first steps into the arts and cultural fields.

Cultivating arts professionals has always been an important strand of Sampad’s work. Thanks to Arts Council England and other funders, Sampad are able to amplify unheard voices through the creation of more opportunities for South Asian people working within the arts sector. We do this by increasing skills and funding for South Asian artists and cultural leaders through training, bursaries and support.

What do artists say about working with Sampad?

Sampad’s support has been truly pivotal for my career. They helped me to launch from a student to a professional, international artist and have guided me continuously ever since.

Aakash Odedra

You are the BEST team in the world and the best arts organisation and I am so so grateful for all the help and support you give to me and continue to do. It’s always appreciated. I’m going to have to come in and give you all a big hug soon!
