A free monthly series presenting music from India to uplift the spirit on Saturday lunchtimes

Escape the hurly-burly, as once a month sampad and Town Hall, Symphony Hall present outstanding Asian artists from the UK and the Indian subcontinent in relaxed, informal sessions. Chill out, take your shoes off, close your eyes and experience the richness and variety of India’s musical heritage.

This month features internationally renowned tabla player Sarvar Sabri.

Sarvar’s passion for the rich diversity of the world’s musical traditions has spurred him to constantly experiment with other world-class musicians and composers, and to extend the boundaries of his own classical form.

He will be accompanied by rising star Utsav Lal. At only 17 years old, Utsav has received critical acclaim for his unique playing style, earning him the title of the ‘raga pianist’. He transcends international boundaries, unfolding the notes of the raga to create a spellbinding musical experience.

In association with Town Hall Sypmhony Hall. Supported by Arts Council and Coutts Charitable Trust.
