Lori – A World of Lullabies, January–February 2026

Step into the magical world of Lori. An interactive performance for 2-6 year olds (EYFS & Year 1) using storytelling, dance and music.

Inspired by Sampad’s book of multi-lingual lullabies, children aged 2-6 can now enjoy this live, interactive experience filled with dance and storytelling. Touring nurseries and schools in January and February 2026, the performance lasts 40 minutes and features a Sampad dancer-storyteller. It is suitable for one class (maximum 30 children) at a time.

Lori (Lullaby in Hindi) uses South Asian lullaby music to transport children into a world of imagination. It is the perfect way to enhance and enrich learning, building creativity and understanding through movement, music and language.

Alongside the performance, nurseries and schools will also receive a copy of the Lori picture book and CD. The book compiles traditional lullabies in Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Brij/Urdu and Gujarati.

Subsidised places now available:

Thanks to a generous donation from the Saintbury Trust, we are delighted that we can now offer 34 highly subsidised performances of Lori at £50 per performance.* Performances are for one class at a time, and schools/ nursery schools  can book a maximum of 4 sessions which must be for the same date. Priority will be given to Sampad Associate Schools. 

*Places will be offered in the first instance to schools with over 40% Pupil Premium. If this offer is over subscribed, schools will be offered two subsidised sessions with the opportunity to purchase additional  sessions at our standard rate (see below)  This offer is open to state schools , nurseries and community venues with 2-6 year olds.
