We spoke with Shri Sriram ahead of his Mid Day Mantra gig, on Saturday 25th February 2023.
Composer, fretless bass player, flautist (bansuri) & percussionist Shri Sriram will use loopers, electronics & other unconventional techniques to collaborate with trombonist extraordinaire Dennis Rollins to perform music from Shri’s album, ‘The Letter’, ‘Just A Vibration’ and music written collaboratively with Dennis.
Mid Day Mantra is a collaboration between Sampad and B:Music, giving artists who are influenced by South Asian music and culture the spotlight. All performances are free and take place in the Jennifer Blackwell performance space at Symphony Hall.
