Sampad champions and celebrates South Asian arts and heritage across the Midlands, UK and internationally.
We produce world-class artistic programmes, we work with schools and communities and we lead on artist development. We are storytellers, platforming narratives which are globally important and providing inspiring experiences for all ages and backgrounds.
If you’ve ever wondered how you can get involved, here are all the ways you can join our journey.
1. Volunteer with Us
Whether you’re looking to build skills, meet new people or support the arts, there are plenty of ways to get involved, including:
- Supporting our live events – helping with audience experience, artist support, marketing and event logistics.
- Getting hands‑on with our creative programmes, helping us deliver workshops, heritage projects or outreach activities across Birmingham and beyond.
- If you’re passionate about education and creativity, you can support our Learning Team as we deliver arts experiences for young people, schools and community groups.

2. Come Along to Our Events
Throughout the year we host a vibrant mix of performances, concerts, talks and cultural celebrations. Our current offering is:
Asian Spring 2026
This annual celebration of South Asian dance showcases talented performers from across the region. The 2026 edition will be as joyful, sparkling and bold as ever, promising an evening you won’t forget.
Tribhangi Dance Theatre: UBUNTU
Hailing from Johannesburg, South Africa, Tribhangi Dance Theatre masterfully blend the strength and energy of African dance with the grace and precision of classical Indian Bharatanatyam, interweaving colourful Afro-fusion and contemporary styles. With dates in Birmingham, Solihull and Leeds, audiences will be swept away by the infectious energy, striking visuals, and the joyful dialogue between two rich cultural traditions.
Midday Mantra: Vasant
Translating to Spring, our Vasant edition of Midday Mantra marks globally recognised traditions. From the Punjabi festival of Vaisakhi to the Hindu festival of Holi, to celebrations found across the world, this joyful concert will foster appreciation and understanding of diverse cultures, musical styles and artistic expressions.
Your presence not only supports artists – it keeps Birmingham’s cultural landscape thriving.
