An opportunity for teachers, students and groups of Kathak and Bharatanatyam dance to experience the CAT Yuva Gati dance training programme

This July our CAT Yuva Gati programme has an exciting opportunity to learn from international Bharatanatyam and Kathak artists and industry professionals whilst getting an insight into what it’s like to train with us at Yuva Gati! We have our artists joining us from across the globe so join us for an online experience you will never forget, just sign up for your preferred workshop.

CAT Yuva Gati is a unique training programme for South Asian dancers where students can enhance every aspect of their performance, advance skills to complement existing dance training, connect to wider performance opportunities. Funded by the Department of Education Music and Dance Scheme, CAT Yuva Gati assists 11-18 year olds with exceptional potential in Bharatanatyam and Kathak styles of dance, regardless of their personal circumstances, to benefit from world-class specialist training as part of a broad and balanced education.

Registration is now open for September 2021 intake

Yuva Gati (‘Youth Movement’) was launched in January 2009 and is a partnership between Sampad South Asian Arts and Heritage and DanceXchange, as the national South Asian dance strand of the CAT (Centre for Advanced Training) programme.
