SHOUT Festival in partnership with Sampad presents Kali Chandrasegaram at The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire
Indian contemporary dance meets late 19th century English poetry in this new dance and spoken word piece by Kali Chandrasegaram. Inspired by the work of legendary gay Midlands poet A E Housman, Kali portrays the struggles of being in love as a gay man in the 19th century, the grief of mourning a lover, and the comforting nature of trees and flowers and how essential they are to our well-being
