Free, outdoor, family-friendly performances, art and entertainment across the city centre

Come along as Sampad joins the fun at Birmingham Weekender (25-27 September 2015), as major arts organisations in Birmingham celebrate the city through music, dance, theatre, food, fashion and much more.

The weekend of free, outdoor, family-friendly performances, art and entertainment across the city centre features an exciting programme of events from hundreds of brilliant local, regional and international artists and companies.

The festival will showcase Birmingham’s extraordinary cultural offering to people living locally, as well as the thousands of visitors expected to travel into the city from 25-27 September.

In addition to celebrating the city’s cultural offering, Birmingham Weekender also marks the opening of the newly transformed New Street Station and Grand Central and coincides with Style Birmingham Live and the Rugby World Cup and underlines the next exciting stage in city’s development, as arts, shopping, food and sport come together in this unique programme of events.

From dance performances at the top of the city’s car parks to a magnificent orchestra of bell-ringing that will play out above the city, to a large-scale musical picnic, visitors will find wonderful sights, sounds and tastes around every corner during two amazing days that will animate Birmingham’s shopping and civic heart.

Captivating spoken word poetry and enchanting Indian dance create short, playful encounters with the public, as Sampad Arts joins the celebrations at Birmingham Weekender.
