Sampad at NMA 25th Anniversary Weekend

On Sunday 17th May, Sampad presents a curated programme of music as part of the National Memorial Arboretum’s 25th Anniversary Weekend – contributing to a shared national moment of reflection and celebration. Bringing South Asian arts and heritage into this space, the programme sits at the heart of a wider conversation which asks how different cultures remember.

We’ll have music performances from Shin DCS and Priti Kaur accompanied by Sagar Jilka on keyboard. Bhavna Chaudhary will compere and tell the meaning of the of Hindi and Punjabi lyrics. Also performing will be Dal Singh, AKA Tabla Jedi, a musician with community at the heart of his work.

10am to 5pm, timings for the day with be announced closer to the event.

For 25 years, The National Memorial Arboretum’s community has remembered, reflected, told stories, sung loudly, stood silently, made memories, remembered lives lost, and celebrated lives lived, together. The weekend will honour this journey with two unique days of vibrant performances, reflective moments and powerful storytelling. NMA will celebrate the milestones, voices and experiences that have shaped their story so far, whist creating new memories.
