On 21st September, Shirley Park in Solihull will come alive with an exciting celebration of South Asian culture, brought to you by Sampad and The Core Theatre. With an incredible line-up of dance, music, and workshops for all ages, this free event promises a day filled with colour, rhythm, and joy.

The Day’s Line-up:

  • Ultimate Bhangra: Join a lively workshop showcasing traditional Bhangra moves and the powerful beats of the dhol drum.
  • Natasha Seth: Known from ‘The Voice’, Natasha will perform a mix of popular songs in English and Hindi.
  • India Island Academy: This dynamic Bollywood dance group will take you on a thrilling journey through film with their performance.
  • Devika Rao: Performing the classical Yakshagana dance, this group’s striking costumes and graceful moves will captivate audiences on stage and throughout the park.
  • Sohan Kailey: Get ready to dance all day as Sohan mixes popular music with Bollywood and Bhangra beats.
  • Mehndi Artist: Enjoy beautiful henna art from a talented Mehndi artist available throughout the event.

  1. By Train:
    Shirley Park is conveniently located near Shirley Train Station, which is serviced by regular trains from Birmingham Moor Street and Solihull. From Shirley Station, it’s a short 10-minute walk to the park.
  2. By Bus:
    Several bus routes connect Birmingham and Solihull to Shirley Park.
    • The number 6 from Birmingham City Centre or Solihull stops at Stratford Road, just a 5-minute walk from the park.
    • The 49 also runs nearby and drops you close to the park’s entrance.
