Dive into a summer adventure uncovering hidden stories at Secret Trails: Sampad Summer School!

This summer we invite young people to step into a week of stories, surprises and shared adventure at Secret Trails, a 4-day immersive programme for children aged 8–12 at Midlands Arts Centre.

Across the week, children will work with Sampad’s artists as they step into role as a team of young detectives, following a mystery that unfolds day by day. Set within the scenic surroundings of Cannon Hill Park, each trail, task and unexpected encounter draws them deeper into a carefully crafted story brought to life through their ideas, creativity and teamwork.

Throughout the week, participants will:

• meet intriguing characters and respond to unexpected encounters
• follow clues and take on creative challenges across indoor and outdoor spaces
• work together to uncover secrets and solve a developing mystery
• explore ideas through dance, drama, music and visual art
• build confidence, collaboration and creative thinking

By the end of the week, they will have unravelled the mystery, overcome each obstacle and helped bring the story to its final resolution.

Taking place on Friday 28th August (the day after the Summer school finishes), join us for a high-energy experience where young people will devise, rehearse and perform their very own original theatre piece. Participants will also have the exciting opportunity to perform their work as part of a curtain raiser for Sampad’s large-scale outdoor production taking place in the Arena at Midlands Arts Centre.
