Visiting Musician Assemblies
- Half Day: 2 x 30 minute assembly performances, AM or PM (maximum audience 60 children for each performance), £350

Introduction to South Asian Dance Assemblies
- Half Day: 2 x 30 minute assemblies, AM or PM, (maximum 60 students for each assembly), £400
Meet 2 professional South Asian dancers who will lead an assembly performing a number of different South Asian dance styles, explaining their significance. They will also teach the assembly group a number of hand gestures used in some traditional dance forms.
- Full Day: Same as Half Day offer, plus 4 x 30 minute dance taster sessions (maximum 32 students for each taster session), £650
Bird Stories
For EYFS, KS1 & Special Schools
This bird themed storytelling performance works with small groups (up to 15 max)
in an immersive way.
This 30 minute piece is the perfect introduction to South Asian arts with opportunities for children to learn a few dance steps, play an instrument, sing and join in a dramatised version of a traditional Indian Tale.

Ujala – A Celebration of Diwali
Autumn term
Suitable for age 7 and above
Ujala is an interactive performance for your school which explores both the Sikh and Hindu stories and traditions of Diwali through storytelling, dance, art and music. During the workshop section each class will have the opportunity to learn more about one art form. The show is 45 minutes long and can be performed to an audience of up to 90 students (3 classes).*
1 performance: £450 (£360 Sapphire, £382.50 Emerald, £405 Ruby)

*There is the opportunity to book an extended version of Ujala where the classes experience 3 workshops (dance, music and Diya lamp painting) This will cost an additional £100 including materials. Please indicate that you would like this option when you book.

Lori – A World of Lullabies for Spring/Summer term
An interactive performance for 2-6 year olds
This is a 30-40 minute interactive storytelling and movement performance using lullaby music from South Asia.
This is suitable for one class (maximum 30 children) at a time.
Each school will be given a CD or downloadable music link, and Lori picture book following our visit.

My Journey, My Birmingham
Suitable for KS2 and above
My Journey, My Birmingham is an interactive Theatre in Education performance. It tells the imagined stories of people from the Dyche collection – an archive of images of people who migrated to Birmingham after World War 2. The performance explores some of the sacrifices they made and prejudices they faced, as well as their aspirations as they rebuilt their lives in the city.
The performance is suited for one class (max 32 children) and lasts 90 minutes*. It can be booked as a standalone event, or also before, during, or after your From City of Empire to City of Diversity: A Visual Journey Exhibition (see page 5).
