Salary: £23,000 (pro rata).

Hours: 22.5 (3 days per week).

Location: Sampad offices, Midlands Arts Centre

About the Role

We are seeking a highly efficient and experienced administrator with a keen interest/ knowledge of the arts and learning to join the team as our Learning Officer.  The role will be essential in supporting our ambition to engage more young people in our formal and informal learning work.

As our Learning Officer, you will support the development and delivery of learning programmes for families, schools and at times other groups. In this role you will perform a variety of tasks to support our learning programme ensuring that it runs smoothly. You will be a key point of contact for schools; maintaining good relationships with teachers, artists, partners and other stakeholders.

The role requires solid organisation skills with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. We are looking for someone who is keen to make a difference, who has a passion for the arts and who can both be an advocate for Arts Education and Sampad’s Learning Offer.

This is an exciting time to join Sampad as we are developing and expanding our learning programme.   In this new role you will have the opportunity to work as an integral part of the team as well as making a difference to the newly launched Sampad Associate Schools initiative. 

Learning Officer – What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who has a good knowledge of both the arts and education and is passionate about the power of the arts to affect the lives of young people. You should be a self-starter but also able to communicate effectively and work well in a small team.  A knowledge of South Asian Art forms is an advantage.
