Aakash Odedra Company presents Echoes
Bells have been a constant companion of every Indian classical dancer. Should these bells just be a part of accepted tradition and ritual and because of that, in a way be “dead”? Can they not be “alive” and in the present? The bells in Echoes explore this idea, becoming a metaphor for resonance, freedom and awakening.
Aakash Odedra, considered the most exciting Kathak performer of his generation is joined by Aditi Mangaldas who is among the most renowned Kathak choreographers in the world today. Both artists have changed the way Kathak is perceived on the modern stage, by looking at tradition with a contemporary approach and open mind.
Sanjukta Sinha presents Incede
