Songs, Sounds and Stories at NMA
National Memorial Arboretum marks 25 years since it officially opened and this summer visitors of all ages are invited to discover why art is so important to Remembrance.
Pick up a Podcatcher audio device, to hear three newly commissioned sound pieces from Sampad, Black Voices and Talent in the Ranks, that bring Remembrance to life.
Using music, spoken word and storytelling, the soundscapes reflect on love, separation, grief, memory, resilience, companionship and enduring across communities, generations and through time.
NMA is open 10am – 5pm daily, Songs, Sounds and Stories runs until 30 August. Printed transcripts of all the pieces are available upon request at the Welcome Desk.
