We’re delighted to announce the date of Asian Spring 2024, taking place on Sunday the 3rd of March at Birmingham Town Hall.
Asian Spring showcases hundreds of local dancers who have practiced for hours to perfect their moves. Expect a range of styles, from classical (like Kathak and Bharatanatyam) to the more contemporary, such as Bollywood. Look out for the intricate footwork and singing ankle bells of Kathak, or the storytelling movement of Bhangra.
Aside from the dancing, the sense of community is what makes Asian Spring. When they’re not performing, the various groups will sit in the audience, cheering on their fellow dancers. Many dancers are in multiple groups.
This year, we will be giving new groups the opportunity to perform on the prestigious Birmingham Town Hall stage. Look out for more details on this coming soon.
Asian Spring only happens once a year, so whether you’re a newbie to South Asian dance styles, or a firm fan, make sure you grab your ticket. Earlybird tickets are on sale from today, and with a ticket for four people (two adults and two concessions) costing just £24, getting your tickets early will be worth it.
