In 2017 Sampad launched one of our most ambitious Heritage projects: The Partition Trail, which examined the social, cultural and emotional consequences of one of the most harrowing events in modern history, the Partition of India in 1947.

Ranjit Sondhi, CBE (Sampad Chair)
Naveed Riaz (Lahore)

The panel will recount stories and share memories that are still as relevant and resonant as they were 73 years ago, including Ranjit and Naveed’s astonishing account of once being next door neighbours in India, to being in totally separate nations, and nationalities, after the partition on the 14th August 1947.
